मुंबई : देश के ग्रामीण युवाओं के लिए फरवरी के अंतिम सप्ताह से किसान क्रिकेट लीग नाम से एक इवेंटका आयोजन किया जा रहा है। एक नये फॉर्मेट पर बनी ये लीग 21 फरवरी से 20 मार्च 2019 के बीच आयोजित होगी। इस इवेंट में देश भर से ग्रामीण परिवार के बच्चे खेलने का मौका पा सकते हैं। किसान क्रिकेट के आयोजक अतुल पांडेय ने ये जानकारी देते हुए कहा कि इसके विजेता को लालबहादुर शास्त्री कप ऑफ होप ट्राफी दी जायेगी। लाल बहादुर शास्त्री मैमोरियल कप ऑफ होप, भारत की माटी के लाल और देश के पूर्व प्रधानमंत्री स्व. लालबहादुर शास्त्री जी को समर्पित है। शास्त्री जी का दिया नारा जय जवान, जय किसान आज भी देश के कोने कोने में गूंजता है। उन्होंने बताया कि किसान क्रिकेट को लालबहादुर शास्त्री मैमोरियल का आशीर्वाद प्राप्त है और शास्त्री जी के पुत्र इस इवेंट के चीफ पेट्रन हैं।
देश भर से कोई भी 17 से 25 वर्ष तक का युवा इस प्रतियोगिता में खेल सकता है बशर्ते वो ग्रामीण पृष्ठभूमि से आता हो। इन ग्रामीण युवाओं को 8 टीमों में बांटा जायेगा, इनके नाम हैं… MIGHTY HIMALYANS, FRONTIER GABROOS, SAHYADRI RANGERS,AWADHI BROTHERS, BIRSA BOYS, EASTER EAGLES, ORUVAN THALIVAS और WESTERN THARIANS. इन टीमों के मैच देश के 8 नॉन मैट्रो सैंटर्समें आयोजित किए जायेंगे। पहली बार ग्रामीण युवाओं के लिए इस प्रकार का मंच बना है जिसमें भाग लेकर वह अपना और अपने परिवार का नाम राष्ट्रीय- अंतर्राष्ट्रीय मंचों पर चमका सके। इसी के साथपहली बार भारत के आदिवासी युवाओं के लिए भी एक टीम (Birsa Boys) बनाई जा रही है।
